Meadows is the high country... This is where the wilderness is
easily accessible. Solitude is only a short hike off the main road. Star-gazing is not to be believed. It is considerably colder here at night, and in midsummer the mosquitoes are sometimes brutal. But the sky is bluer, the fishing is great and the scenery is awesome, especially from atop Lembert Dome and at Tioga Pass. |
